Making sure you have enough information

You have now spent a lot of time gathering sources and taking notes. It is time to begin synthesizing your information, finding connections, and presenting your research. First, look through all of your notes and make sure that you have your source information. Also, make sure that you have labeled your notes with your subtopics. Review your preliminary outline and verify that you have notes relevant to each subtopic. Make revisions to your outline as needed.

If you worked on your notes electronically, you may want to cut and paste your notes together by topic.

Put your notes in order as the subtopics will appear in your final product.
