Introduction
You are the Vice-President of
Communication at the Microsoft Corporation.
Your boss, Bill Gates wants
to produce a TV Show on how computers have changed from the 1940's
to the 1990's. Your job is to research the history of computers.
The Task
Look at 6 computing events from the 1940's
to the 1990's
The Process
- Go on the Internet (websites are below)
to find one computer event for each of the following decades
: 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's.
- Use your worksheet to record the event
in your own words. Do not copy the exact words from the website.
Record the website address (URL) on your worksheet too. You must
use at least 4 different websites.
- Enter your events and dates in the TimeLiner
program
- Import one image of an old computer and
one image of a new computer in your timeline.
Evaluation
- Must have 6 events
- Events must be written in your own words
- Your timeline should not have any spelling
errors
- Your timeline should be neatly organized
