The Introduction

The Task
 

You and your partner are video producers. You want Channel 4 of Washington, D.C. to air a 30 second videos about life in Ancient Egypt. To convince the President of Channel 4, you are to create a Hyperstudio stack that will have a video clip of you and your partner explaining life in Ancient Egypt.

The Process

1. Based upon the computer that you are using, you will be assigned a question and a pharoah. Click on your computer number below.
   
   
2. Go to the websites on your question and pharoah. Look for 5 important facts that answer your question and 3 important facts about your pharoah. Also include the years that your pharoah ruled Egypt. Enter your facts on the worksheets that have been passed out to to you. Be sure to write the website address where you located a fact on the website page.
   
   
3. After you have found your facts, talk with your partner about what you will say in your video clip. (In other words, practice what you will say.) On your video clip you will mention only 3 of your facts. Do not read everything you hav written on your 3 facts; you may summarize each of your 3 facts. Both partners must say something on the videos.
   
   
4. Mr. Linyear or Ms. Olson will videotape you. Your video clip should be not be more than 30 seconds long.
   
   
5. You will create a 4 card Hyperstudio stack. Your cards should contain the following:

   ** Your cards can include ancient Egypt clipart downloaded from the Internet.

6. Card 1 - Names with all of the partners in your group

   Card 2 - Your assigned question

   If you have a video clip of your question
   Using a Hyperstudio button, insert video clip. List the 2 remaining facts not mentioned in your clip.

   If you do not have a video clip of your question
   List 3 facts about your question.

   Card 3 - Your assigned pharoah

   If you have a video clip of your pharoah
   Using a Hyperstudio button, insert video clip.

   If you do not have a video clip of your pharoah
   List 3 facts about your pharoah.

   Card 4 - List the websites that you got your facts and graphics from

Goal
